1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case convict Munna alias Mohammad Ali Khan alias Manoj Kumar Bhawarlal Gupta, serving life imprisonment, was fatally attacked by five inmates at Kalamba Central Jail in Kolhapur, India. A dispute over taking a bath in the jail's bathroom area led to the attack. The attackers removed an iron cover from a drainage and smashed Khan's head, causing his death. The Kolhapur Police have registered a murder case against the five attackers and have plans to arrest them soon.
