LAMATA ends 25% fare rebate for public bus, ferry, and train services in Lagos, effective June 3.
Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has ended the 25% rebate on fares for regulated public bus, ferry, and train services. The rebate, announced by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on February 23 to mitigate the effects of petrol subsidy removal, will see fares return to 100% from June 3. The rebate aimed to ease the impact of fuel subsidy removal on Lagos residents.
