Federal secretary Muhammad Omar Malik, a PM Task Force on IT and Telecom member, was arrested in court for contemptuous behavior and misconduct. The incident occurred in Civil Judge Judicial Magistrate Adil Sarwar Sial's court. Malik was sentenced to 15 days in jail and fined Rs2,000 under Section 228; failure to pay the fine would result in an additional 5 days in prison.
