Congress MP Rahul Gandhi responded to exit poll predictions of a BJP-led NDA majority with a reference to late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's "295" song, suggesting the INDIA bloc would achieve its target of 295 seats. Gandhi dismissed the exit polls as "Modi media poll" and "Modi's fantasy poll." The BJP, however, dismissed Gandhi's optimism, describing it as "daydreaming".
