CNN Turkey journalist Yunus Paksoy reported being attacked by a Fethullah Gülen supporter near Gülen's Pennsylvania home during a live broadcast. The alleged attacker, driving an SUV, struck Paksoy in the face. Turkish Communications Director Fahrettin Altun condemned the assault and pledged to hold the attackers and instigators accountable with US authorities.
