Kerala police have arrested the alleged mastermind behind an international human trafficking network involved in organ harvesting, Ballamkonda Ram Prasad, also known as Pratapan. The 41-year-old was hiding in a hotel in Hyderabad and has been connected to arranging donors for middlemen who then connected them with recipients in Iran. The Tamil Nadu Special Investigation Team is currently investigating the details of people who donated their kidneys as part of the international organ trade racket.
