The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and Omaha officials receive a $2 million federal grant to enhance pedestrian and bicycle walkways over Saddle Creek Road and Leavenworth Street, aiming to improve public safety and interconnectivity. The project supports the city's Vision Zero strategy to improve road safety and design for all users. Construction is expected to begin this summer and last two to three years.
