Justice M S Sonak of Bombay High Court, Goa Bench, has become the first person in Goa to register a "living will," an advance medical directive, marking a significant moment in addressing end-of-life issues. The Supreme Court legalized passive euthanasia in 2018, contingent upon having a living will or a written document specifying medical decisions if a person becomes unable to make them themselves.
