Indianapolis police officer fired weapon during gunfire investigation, suspect and officer unharmed.

An Indianapolis police officer fired their weapon during a gunfire investigation in downtown Indy early Saturday, but neither the suspect nor the officer were injured. IMPD officers heard gunshots around 3:20 am and searched the area, locating and engaging a suspect. A brief vehicle chase ensued, ending in a crash. Two persons of interest were detained, and a firearm was found nearby.
