The All India Chess Federation, Tamil Nadu government, and Singapore Chess Federation have submitted bids to host the World Chess Championship, with Chennai also a potential host. FIDE CEO Emil Sutovsky expects a final decision in June after reviewing the bids. The championship will feature Indian Grandmaster D. Gukesh against reigning world champion GM Ding Liren from China.
