Hacker offers Ticketmaster user data for sale on dark web, Live Nation investigates with law enforcement.
Live Nation, the parent company of Ticketmaster, said a hacker is offering alleged user data from Ticketmaster for sale on the dark web, according to a regulatory filing. Unauthorized activity was detected on May 20, leading to an investigation with forensic investigators. The data went up for sale on May 27, and Live Nation said it is working with law enforcement. The company does not believe the hack has had any financial or business operation impact.
