Filipino boxer Hergie Bacyadan edged past Hungarian Veronika Nakota 3-2 in the 2nd World Boxing Qualification in Bangkok, Thailand, moving her one step closer to securing an Olympic spot for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Bacyadan now faces Venezuelan Maryelis Yriza in the women's 75 kg quarterfinal on Sunday for a chance at a semifinal slot or one of the four Olympic tickets in her division.
