Connecticut's Crystal Mall loses anchor tenant JCPenney, becoming the state's only mall without one.

Connecticut's Crystal Mall is now the only mall in the state without an anchor store after JCPenney's closure. Anchor stores such as Bed Bath & Beyond, Christmas Tree Shops, Macy's, and Sears have previously left, resulting in a drop in foot traffic and revenue. The mall's owner, Namdar Realty Group, plans to sell or redevelop the property, as other malls in Connecticut experience varying fortunes.
