Pune Court orders Rahul Gandhi to appear in defamation case filed by Vinayak Damodar Savarkar's grandnephew, Satyaki Savarkar, over alleged defamatory remarks made during a speech in London in 2023. The next hearing is scheduled for August 19, 2024. The complaint accuses Rahul Gandhi of falsely claiming that V D Savarkar wrote about beating up a Muslim man. Pune police found prima facie truth in the complaint.
