Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) diagnoses among college students doubled between 2017 and 2022, rising from 3.4% to 7.5%, as per new research. The study analyzed 390,000 responses from the Healthy Minds Study, an annual web-based survey. The prevalence of PTSD increased most notably during the pandemic when campuses shut down and young adults' lives were disrupted.
