Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit China from June 4 to 8 to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss upgrading the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The visit aims to increase cooperation under the CPEC project, as the two sides look forward to launching the second phase of the project. The CPEC, a key part of China's Belt and Road Initiative, was launched a decade ago and has already completed several energy and infrastructure projects. Sharif will hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and other key government officials during his visit.
