30 May 2024: Kigoowa Skilling Centre students display products after completing 6 months of training under President Museveni's PISGBC initiative.
On 30th May 2024, students at Kigoowa Skilling Centre in Kampala, showcased their products after completing six months of free vocational training under President Museveni's initiative, Skilling the Girl and Boy Child (PISGBC). The centre, accommodated at Butukirwa Catholic Church in Ntinda Division, trained 502 students in seven departments: embroidery, weaving, knitting, leather design, shoe making, bakery, tailoring, and hairdressing. The trainees will soon sit exams leading to a recognized certificate by the Directorate of Industrial Training.
