Madrid Zoo Aquarium received giant pandas Jin Xi and Zhu Yu from China on May 30, for a 10-year stay.
Spain's Madrid Zoo Aquarium welcomed a giant panda couple, Jin Xi and Zhu Yu, from China on May 30. Both born in 2020, the pandas arrived last month and were officially introduced after a quarantine period. China has loaned its treasured bears to overseas zoos as goodwill ambassadors while also running conservation programs at home. The Madrid Zoo has agreed to house the couple for the next 10 years.
