Ireland's Deposit Return Scheme, launched on February 1st, has exceeded expectations with over 150 million drinks containers returned since its inception. Over 75 million were returned in May alone, and the scheme is now averaging 2.5 million containers returned daily. From June 1st, only bottles and cans bearing the Re-turn logo can be legally sold to consumers, aiming to encourage recycling and contribute to a more sustainable future.
