Ethiopia's Hagos Gebrhiwet narrowly missed setting a new world record in the men's 5,000 meters, winning the Oslo Diamond League meet with a time of 12 minutes 36.73 seconds, the second-fastest time in history. In other events, South Africa's Akani Simbine won the men's 100 meters in 9.94 seconds, while American Brittany Brown won the women's 200 meters in 22.32 seconds.
