Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested an Uttarakhand resident, Banmeet Singh, on charges of operating an international drug trafficking group that sold drugs in the US, the UK, and European countries. Singh was arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and has been linked to at least 8,088 Bitcoins in illicit proceeds. The ED's investigation was prompted by a Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) request from US authorities.
