Employment Court rejects TVNZ's appeal, upholds staff participation clause in collective agreement.
The Employment Court has rejected TVNZ's appeal, ordering the broadcaster to follow a clause in its collective employment agreement that supports staff participation in changes to workplace practices. The court upheld an earlier Employment Relations Authority ruling that found TVNZ in breach of its collective agreement. This decision comes after TVNZ appealed the ERA ruling and had to retain 17 staff during the Employment Court hearing.
