Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the main defendant in the ongoing ambulance trial, has petitioned Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo to allow a live broadcast of the trial proceedings. Ato Forson's request, detailed in a letter from his lawyers to the Chief Justice, was prompted by recent allegations of misconduct against Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame. A 16-minute recording released by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) allegedly captures a conversation between Dame and Richard Jakpa, who accused the Attorney-General of encouraging him to provide false testimony against Ato Forson.
