Connecticut State Trooper Aaron Pelletier was killed on Thursday in Southington after being struck by a passing car during a traffic stop on I-84. Pelletier served in the state police for nine years. The driver, who initially fled the scene, was later found and taken into custody. Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont ordered state and U.S. flags to be lowered to half-staff in Pelletier's honor.
