City of Hope and DELFI Diagnostics are developing a new blood test for lung cancer, aiming to increase early detection rates through a more convenient and cost-effective method compared to CT scans. Currently, less than 2% of eligible Californians receive lung cancer screening due to cost and time constraints. The blood test could potentially save lives by drawing more people for screening.
