Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan acquitted of embezzlement charges due to lack of evidence.

Armenia's Criminal Court of General Jurisdiction acquitted third Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who was charged with embezzling 489 million drams ($1.15m) in 2013. The presiding judge stated that the former president, along with businessman Barsegh Beglaryan and former Agriculture Ministry official Gevorg Harutyunyan, were acquitted due to lack of evidence. The court also lifted the seizure on their assets.
