Kaspersky's Q1 2024 stats show 32.4% of African Industrial Control Systems (ICS) computers faced cyberthreats, higher than other regions. Malware percentages in South Africa (25.5%), Kenya (30.5%), and Nigeria (28%) also increased. Globally, 24.4% of ICS computers had malicious objects blocked, with 10,865 different malware families detected. African organizations need to stay vigilant against Spy Trojans, Ransomware, and other cyber threats.
