Yale University selects Maurie McInnis, Stony Brook president, as its first female president.

Yale University has selected Maurie McInnis, currently the president of Stony Brook University, as its new president. McInnis, a Yale graduate and trustee, will be the first female president in the university's history. She is known for raising Stony Brook's profile, donations, and prestige and will take on the role of Yale's president on July 1, succeeding Peter Salovey.
