Researchers at the University of Cambridge have successfully tested a robotic "Third Thumb" wearable device on a diverse range of participants. Results showed 98% of users, including ages three to 96, were able to manipulate objects within the first minute of use. The device, which is controlled by pressure sensors on the feet, could improve opportunities and quality of life for people with disabilities and enhance productivity for healthy individuals.
