6-time Tony-winning actress Audra McDonald will star as Mama Rose in a Broadway revival of "Gypsy" this fall, marking the first time a Black actress will play the role. The production, directed by George C. Wolfe, will begin previews on November 21 at the Majestic Theatre, with an opening night on December 19. This revival will be the first "Gypsy" since the 2008 production.
