The Rivers State High Court has issued an interlocutory injunction, declaring the seats of 25 pro-Wike lawmakers vacant pending the hearing and determination of a substantive lawsuit. The court also restrained Martin Amaewhule and the 24 other lawmakers from parading as members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, or holding any legislative functions. The matter has been adjourned to July 1st, 2024, for a motion hearing.
