Liberal Democrats propose tripling social media tax to fund a mental health professional in every primary and secondary school in England. Party leader Sir Ed Davey says children are "being left in limbo" when they seek mental health care. Under the current 2% tax on search engine, social media, and online marketplace companies' revenues, the proposed increase could generate an estimated £620m to fund mental health professionals in schools by 2025.
