Governor Nwifuru initiates peace efforts, funds airport repairs, and enhances Ebonyi's security.
Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State reported inherited crises and conflicts and is working on restoring peace in affected areas. The state government has spent N17.3bn on remedial work at the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport runway in Abakaliki, and major repairs in the terminal building and control tower have commenced, with flight operations expected to resume fully. Nwifuru has also taken measures to improve Ebonyi's security architecture during his first year in office.
