The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has ruled in favour of Google, Airbnb, and other online platforms, rejecting an Italian law that demanded financial contributions based on their revenue in Italy and required them to register. The court stated that Italy cannot impose additional requirements on online platforms from other EU countries beyond existing national regulations. The law's financial contribution and reporting obligations will not take effect.
