Endometriosis NZ launches a workplace programme to support employees with endometriosis. With an estimated 120,000 people affected in NZ and a 9-year average wait for diagnosis, 88% of respondents in the ENZ 2023 survey had to take sick leave for management, 66% found workplace stress worsened symptoms, and 48% took unpaid leave. ENZ encourages workplaces to prioritize employee health and wellbeing.
