EFCC under President Tinubu secured 3,175 convictions, N156bn, and other currency recoveries, with internet fraud involving youths as a concern.

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, revealed that the commission secured 3,175 convictions and recovered N156bn between May 29, 2023, and May 29, 2024, under President Bola Tinubu's administration. The EFCC also recovered $43.8m, £25.4k, €186.9k, ₹51.4k, C$3.8k, A$740, ¥74.7k, R35k, 42.4k UAE Dirhams, 247 Riyals, and 21.6m Crypto Currency during the same period. Despite the commission's achievements, involvement of Nigerian youths in internet fraud remains a significant concern.
