Canada's Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from families of Ukrainian flight victims, who were seeking to enforce a $107 million judgment against Iran for the 2020 downing of Flight PS752. The majority of passengers were bound for Canada. Family members had obtained a default court judgment against Iran in 2021, but a motion to enforce the ruling against Iranian properties and bank accounts in Canada was dismissed due to diplomatic immunity.
