AltaGas and Royal Vopak approve $1.35bn Ridley Island Energy Export Facility in BC for exporting LPG, methanol, and other bulk liquids to Asia.

AltaGas Ltd. and Royal Vopak NV have approved the $1.35bn Ridley Island Energy Export Facility (REEF) in British Columbia, set to export energy products like propane to Asia. The 77-hectare facility, leased from the Prince Rupert Port Authority, aims to export liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), methanol, and other bulk liquids, with an initial export capacity of 1.7 million tonnes a year for LPG. This project is expected to be the single-largest investment in the port's history, providing unprecedented market access for Canada's energy sector.
