50-year-old primary school teacher Fiona Beal has admitted to the murder of her partner, Nicholas Billingham, 42, after he confessed to an affair and wrote her a love letter. Beal stabbed Billingham, aged 42, and buried his body in the garden. Billingham's remains were found four and a half months after he was last seen. Beal had initially pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter by reason of a loss of control but later changed her plea. In a sentencing hearing, the court heard how Beal had killed Billingham in a carefully planned domestic execution, after he confessed to the affair and wrote a love letter declaring his love "until the day I die."
