The woman in her 40s told Matarazzo, then 13, that she had had a crush on him since he was that age. Matarazzo found the situation upsetting and was surprised when the woman doubled down on her statement, acknowledging the age difference. Her teenage daughter was also present and expressed disbelief at her mother's comments.
