Vancouver woman, Erin Carlyle McLeod, is suing the city after alleging an unprovoked police dog attack on her at Grandview Elementary School in June 2022. In a May 23 B.C. Supreme Court notice of civil claim, McLeod claims she was sitting on the steps when the dog clamped its jaws on her arm without warning, causing injuries to her arm and back. She alleges that the attack was due to the negligence of the officer controlling the dog.
