University of Houston researchers discover CD8-fit T cells for enhanced cancer T-cell therapies.

A University of Houston team discovered a novel subset of T cells, CD8-fit, that could enhance T-cell therapies for cancer. Using the TIMING method with visual AI, researchers found that CD8-fit T cells possess high motility and serial killing capabilities, present in patients with positive clinical responses. This study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, aims to improve outcomes in cancer treatment via T-cell therapies.
