UK has the highest diesel prices in Europe despite a recent 5p fuel duty cut, according to RAC.

UK drivers pay the most expensive diesel prices in Europe, despite a recent 5p fuel duty cut, according to motoring group RAC. The average price of a litre of diesel in the UK is at 155p, higher than prices in France (146p), Ireland (150p), and Belgium (150p), despite having a similar or lower duty rate. RAC claims that there is "no good reason" for British fuel retailers not cutting pump prices.
