Planned Parenthood requests judge to expand Indiana's abortion health exception, allowing abortions in clinics and hospitals.
Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers are asking a judge to expand the health exception to Indiana's abortion ban, which currently allows abortions only in rare circumstances and only at hospitals. The providers seek a preliminary injunction to expand medical exemptions and permit abortions at clinics as well as hospitals. The bench trial is scheduled for Wednesday through Friday.
