Nigeria's federal government has initiated a free distribution of gas cylinders aimed at promoting clean cooking energy for one million homes by 2030. The program, under the 'Decade of Gas' initiative, is expected to distribute 250,000 cylinders to rural communities across the country. Commenced by Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, the program seeks to increase domestic gas usage, improve women's inclusion, and provide employment opportunities for the youth.
