National Award-winning actress Zaira Wasim, known for her role in Dangal, shared the news of her father Zahid Wasim's passing on Instagram. Zaira, who rose to fame after portraying a young Geeta Phogat in the 2016 Bollywood film Dangal, posted a throwback photo of herself as a toddler kissing her father and wrote an emotional message asking people to ask Allah to forgive her father's shortcomings. In 2019, Zaira announced her retirement from acting due to personal reasons.
