Mumbai's Coastal Road tunnel faces water leaks two months after opening, prompting inspection and polymer grouting suggestion.
Mumbai's Coastal Road tunnel has experienced water leaks just two months after its opening. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inspected the southbound tunnel at Marine Drive, part of the first phase of the project. Shinde suggested polymer grouting for all 25 joints on each side of the tunnel to prevent water seepage during the monsoon season. The second phase of the coastal road, stretching from Marine Drive to Worli, is expected to open by June 10.
