Philanthropist Melinda French Gates plans to donate $1 billion over the next two years to support women and families, including reproductive rights. This comes after she announced her departure from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which she co-founded nearly 25 years ago. A significant portion of the donations will be directed towards U.S. nonprofits focused on women and girls' rights.
