Manchester Airport warns holidaymakers and staff of M56 project delays. National Highways is set to resurface worn sections of the M56 motorway between junction five for the airport and junction six for Hale Barns starting June 10. The overnight work will be conducted between 9pm and 5am, or 7am on Saturdays, with occasional closures. National Highways aims to finish the project before the start of the school summer holiday period.
