Kuwait inaugurates Al-Zour oil Refinery, increasing refining capacity to 1.8 million barrels per day.
Kuwait's refining capacity reaches a record 1.8 million barrels per day with the inauguration of the Al-Zour oil Refinery, one of the Middle East's largest, which began operating at full capacity. Made up of three component units, the refinery was officially inaugurated months after its output reached 615,000 bpd. Kuwait aims to reach a production capacity of 4 million bpd by 2035.
